Meet Eddy Yang, DDS, MD

With his office in Sugar Land, Texas, oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Eddy Yang provides a range of office and hospital based procedures, with a focus in such areas as infections of the head and neck, facial trauma, and maxillofacial reconstruction. He also performs dentoalveolar surgery, which entails extracting teeth, placing dental implants, and rebuilding or repairing the supporting bone. Dr. Yang began his private practice in 2004. 

Dr. Yang maintains hospital affiliations with St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital and also holds staff privileges at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and The Methodist Hospital in Houston’s Texas Medical Center. He is licensed to practice both dentistry and medicine in Texas and is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Yang maintains memberships in numerous professional organizations such as the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the Greater Houston Dental Society, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Chinese-American Doctors Association of Houston.

After moving to the United States as a child, Dr. Yang attended high school in the Chicago suburb of Naperville, Illinois. He then matriculated at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  At The University of Michigan, he excelled academically and  received a B.S. in Biology with distinction. He also earned his Dental Degree (D.D.S.) at the institution’s prestigious School of  Dentistry.  After completing his dental education at Michigan, Dr. Yang was accepted into an integrated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where he completed an internship in general surgery,  a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and received his Medical Degree (M.D.).

Outside of his professional sphere, Dr. Yang enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He follows an exercise routine that includes both strength training/conditioning and aerobic workouts such as jogging. Other hobbies include competitive IPSC shooting and hunting.

Dr. Yang is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
